New Volunteers training
To make sure our volunteers are ready to give the families the best possible support, Home-Start Southwark offers a high-quality preparation training. The course runs once a week over a 7-week period and covers following modules:
1. Introduction to HSS
2. Values and Attitudes, Listening and Communication
3. Meeting the Needs of Children
4. Bump to Babe, Big Hopes, Big Future
5. Safeguarding and protecting children
6. Supporting Parents
7. Confidentiality
Our next Volunteer Prep Course
Summer Prep Course 2024:
The course will run once a week on Thursdays: 9th, 16th, 23rd May, 6th, 13th, 20th, 27th June between 10am and 2pm.
Location: Canopi, 7-14 Great Dover Street, SE1 4YR, London
These sessions cover all aspects of family support so volunteers are ready to help parents give their children the best start in life.
